Tony Blades reaches the 350 wicket milestone
In the friendly match against MIC at the Hirschanger on Saturday 25th April it happened. Tony has been bowling extremely well this season but that elusive 350th wicket just wouldn´t come – until Saturday. It was a high looping catch to the fielder and there was a prolonged holding of breath as we all wondered would he take it or make a dolly drop. He took it and all gathered round to congratulate the record-holding bowler.
Jimmy Anderson is renowned as the King of Swing and I reckon our own Bunty is the club’s King of Flight and Dip.
