Won the toss and chose to bat after a detailed inquiry from the opposition on Daniel Weston absence, Scoring was tough when it did happen came mostly through boundaries…almost everyone contributed with the bat Manny 25, Sarma 17 , Scott Archer 17, Carrie 32, Maj 30, Abhijith 16… Paul Scott bowled a brilliant opening spell and we had them in trouble at 70/4 at drinks. At this point we read the news of the Tergernsee win and forgot we had our own game to win! Bowled poor lengths and their patience was rewarded. Top bowling effort from the Great Dane kept us in the hunt with 2 wickets.
Lessons learned: Top order needs to capitalize on starts and seamers to bowl fuller in the middle overs.
Lessons not learned: someone look after the score book entries before heading for home
