Comments on the Match
Dachau Dan on debut. Inspector Lewis with 4-25 with his left arm darts.
MCC Man of The Match
Mcc subsided to 111 all out from a promising 50-1 in the 10th over. Lovell was run out when going well by a direct hit and Weston caught on fence. No-one else reached double figures in an innings which included 3 run outs. In reply the Lufthansa opener was also run out first ball in a moment of pure farce – Palfrey fooling him by dropping him. The introduction of spin with Lewis and Gibb turned the tide in MCC favour and aided by some keen fielding MCC ran out fairly comfortable winners in the end.

MCC were comprehensively outplayed by home team MICC. MCC were inserted and skittled for 117 in the face of some good bowling. In reply MCC took some early wickets with some good bowling by Blades, Scott and Lewis but then around 5pm the buffet wagon arrived bringing with it an assortment of juicy full tosses, half trackers and general cafeteria fare…help yourself.

Comments on the Match
MCC just managed to get 11 players out after Carr had injured his knee bowling his first ball at Friday nets. Fortunately 12th man Jegannath was on hand to fill the spot. Weston duly won the toss and chose to bat on an overcast day but at least no rain – not even in Patagonia. Lewis and Clare opened and put on a single for the 1st wicket followed by nothing for the second wicket. Things were not going well until Di Perna joined Lewis at the crease and a splendid 3rd wicket partnership of 51 ensued followed by another 40 for the fourth. Then came partnerships of 0, 0, 39, 42, 13 and 19. Di Perna finally falling for 76 and Sear for 49 to give a total of 205 for 10 in 38.5overs including total of 5 lbw decisions. The match qualified as a home fixture for Tegernsee and in true cricketing tradition they provided teas for both teams including some delicious smoked salmon sandwiches. All MCC bowlers were among the wickets, the pick of them being Rabbani with 2 for 11 off 5 overs. Blades took a three-for and has leapfrogged Gibb to lead the wickets taken so far with 16 followed by Gibb, Garner and Lewis all on 14. Tegernsee were all out for 113 in 29.2 overs.
MCC Man of The Match
Di Perna top score and quick behind the stumps.

Mcc lost league decider by 3 wickets
Comments on the Match
A rain affected game at home v the Pakistanis, four or five rain interruptions on the flicx pitch meant a stop start scenario for the batsman. Clare top scored ably supported by Lovell. Pak Orient fielded keenly hence the three run outs. A score of 180 was very competitive. Early wickets gave MCC the edge before a missed stumping swayed the match. Ali progressed serenely scoring a match winning 89* with MCC serving up some indifferent bowling.

Comments on the Match
A jaded performance from MCC after losing league decider the day before. Highlights only sub fielder 2 pot wilson’s keen display in the outfield. Barry Gibb went off injured with a busted quad. A nice catch by Gus at short cover, very unlike any Man City goalkeeper. Good catch by Clare on the boundary unfortunately ruined by a very Kiwi village celebration. Match best forgotten and put to bed.
MCC Man of The Match
Weston – nice batting while it lasted.

Comments on the Match
MCC were indebted to a delightful innings by Weston with an unbeaten 125 with some power hitting. Mini partnerships along the way with Lovell and Maj Bishop Rabbani meant MCC were able to post a competitive 198 on the postage stamp boundaries of Perlach. Bowlers came in for some tap and the home side had a chance to win before a stunning catch by Clare off Fudge tipped the balance. Fudgey took two wickets in his only over amongst the sundries. Catches win matches.
MCC Man of The Match
Weston. Lovely innings. Chanceless.
